Valentin Binotto is a network engineer focused on data center networking. He works in the cloud infrastructure department at a major Swiss telecom provider and holds a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training as an "Information Technologist" (legally protected title: "Informatiker EFZ, Fachrichtung Plattformentwicklung") together with the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate.

As an advocate for free/libre open source software (FLOSS) and a communist anarchist, Valentin sees the internet as an expression of freedom. He is seeking to transition to the non-profit sector, believing that technology should serve humanity rather than capitalist profit.
